Before you submit
Can one photo be turned into an exact model?
Usually not by itself. One image can communicate appearance, but exact fit normally needs multiple views, measurements and details about hidden or mating surfaces.
Do I need to know which 3D printing process to use?
No. Describe the required outcome and environment. Process and material are downstream decisions, and PrintWhat does not force every request into FDM, resin, metal or any single method.
Will I own the custom model?
Ownership, permitted use, source-file delivery and revision terms must be stated in the written quote. Existing third-party reference models keep their original licenses.
Is the first submission a purchase?
No. It creates a private request for review. Paid work starts only after you accept a separate written quote or payment route.
