Christmas 3D Prints 2026: Ornaments, Advent Calendar, Village
Christmas prints are worth starting early: a tall advent calendar or a set of baubles can take several evenings of printer time. We picked six original designs that do not rely on film, game or brand characters, from quick vase-mode pieces to a print-in-place advent calendar. Each card links to the designer's own page, where you download the file and read the license. Most are non-commercial Creative Commons licenses and two forbid modified versions, so check before selling prints or sharing remixes. We do not quote download or popularity figures; the selection is editorial and was checked on 31 October 2026.

Christmas Tree Ornament Set (Vase Mode Prints)
Six bauble shapes designed for spiral vase mode, so each one is a single thin wall that prints quickly and hangs light on a branch. After printing you trim the top so a standard 3/4 inch ornament cap fits on the neck. A wider extrusion width gives sturdier walls, and printing at about two thirds scale suits a small tabletop tree. Personal, non-commercial use with credit; remixes must keep the same license.

Christmas Tree Advent Calendar with Print-in-Place Doors
A tall tree-shaped advent calendar, close to 30 cm, with 24 small boxes behind doors whose hinges print in place. The shell is split in two to fit most beds, with connector pins and an optional test plate to check the hinges first. The tree shell uses slim tree supports while the box insert and doors print without them, and you can pick a different colour for each part. Plan the print well before December. Personal use only under MakerWorld's standard license; the miniatures shown in the designer's photos are not part of the file.

Articulated Christmas Dragon
A festive take on the articulated dragon: it prints in one piece with moving joints and no supports, then wiggles straight off the bed. Three lengths are offered, and the designer quotes print times from roughly 6 to 16 hours on an Ender 3 Pro, so pick the short one for a first try. Low infill is enough, and the designer suggests a raft rather than extra bed adhesion so the joints do not fuse. Non-commercial use with credit; the designer sells commercial rights separately.

Christmas Gift Bow – Foldable
A reusable bow for wrapped presents: flat ribbon loops print in a few grams of filament and press onto a central mount without glue, so you can print a stack in different colours. Plain PLA bends best; silk or matte blends can be too brittle to fold. Setting top and bottom surfaces to a concentric pattern helps the loops bend without creasing. Non-commercial use with credit.

Mini LED Christmas Tree (Vase Mode)
A small desk tree that prints in spiral vase mode in about an hour and a half and slips over an LED tea light, so translucent or glow filament works well. The base is sized for a 36 mm tea light, with other sizes included; only its lower ring needs support. Non-commercial use with credit, and the No Derivatives term means you should not share modified versions.

Xmas-Tree Fairy House for a Christmas Village
A tree-shaped cottage for a winter village display, about 11 cm tall, that hides an LED tea light up to 42 mm wide. It needs neither supports nor a multicolour printer: colours come from separate parts glued together, and the designer includes assembly instructions. Fine layers suit the detail, and fuzzy skin on the base gives a snowy texture. The designer advises against scaling it down. Non-commercial use with credit, no modified versions.

Questions before you choose
- Which Christmas prints are fastest to make?
- Vase-mode pieces such as the bauble set and the mini LED tree print as a single wall, so each takes well under two hours on most printers. The advent calendar and the longer dragon versions need many hours, so start those first.
- Can I sell these Christmas prints at a market?
- Not by default. The Printables designs here are Creative Commons non-commercial licenses and the advent calendar is under MakerWorld's personal-use license. Some designers sell commercial rights separately, so ask them or read the original page before selling.
- Is it safe to put an LED in a printed decoration?
- Use battery LED tea lights only, never real candles. PLA softens at fairly low temperatures, so keep printed decorations away from heaters and open flames.
- I saw a Christmas decoration in a photo. How do I find the file?
- Describe it or upload the photo to PrintWhat search to look for the same or similar models across sources. If nothing matches, you can write a design brief and request a custom 3D model, for example an ornament with your own family name.
